Flexible Zone Management, Built to Scale

The controller is designed to manage multiple independent irrigation zones, with models available in 1, 4, 8, and 16-zone configurations, along with bespoke options for larger or more complex sites. Each zone operates its own valve, allowing precise, efficient control across different areas of any irrigation system.

Why Multiple Zones Matter

Using a single irrigation zone for an entire garden, landscape, or plantation often leads to serious inefficiencies:

  • Different plants need different water levels
Lawns, shrubs, trees, vegetable beds, and flowerbeds all have unique watering requirements. A single zone forces everything to receive the same amount, which leads to overwatering some areas while underwatering others.

  • Varied sunlight and soil conditions
Shaded areas retain moisture far longer than sunny areas. Clay soil holds water; sandy soil drains quickly. Multiple zones allow irrigation to be tailored to each environment, ensuring healthier plant growth.

  • Large areas require staged watering
For bigger landscapes, estates, farms, or plantations, running all irrigation at once may overwhelm pumps or reduce pressure. Dividing the system into zones ensures stable pressure, reliable water flow, and better coverage.

  • Improved sustainability and reduced waste
With zone-based scheduling, water is used only where it is needed. This reduces overall consumption, prevents runoff, and supports long-term conservation goals.

  • Greater system reliability
If one zone develops a fault (such as a leak or blocked drip line), it can be isolated without shutting down the entire irrigation system.

Support for Latching and Standard Valves

For sustainability-focused projects, latching valves are recommended. These valves require power only for a brief moment during activation or deactivation, making them ideal for:

  • Solar-powered systems

  • Battery-powered installations

  • Projects where energy efficiency is a priority

For existing systems using 24 VAC standard valves, the controller can be paired with suitable drivers or transformers to ensure seamless compatibility without altering the original installation.

Built-In Pump Control for Complete Automation

The IoT Controller includes a dedicated pump driver, enabling automatic pump operation without the need for a separate external pump controller. This adds flexibility and simplifies system design—especially for:

  • Tank-fed irrigation

  • Borehole or well systems

  • Large-scale agricultural installations

  • Remote sites requiring autonomous operation

Whether it’s a compact home garden, a commercial landscape, a large plantation, or an environmentally sensitive project, the system scales effortlessly to match the complexity and size of the irrigation layout.
