Automate, Optimise, and Conserve

Our IoT controller offers an advanced solution that brings automation and efficiency to irrigation systems.

Whether integrated into new installations or retrofitted to existing setups, it serves as a powerful tool to improve productivity, conserve valuable resources, and reduce human intervention.

By optimising the use of natural resources like water and energy, the controller supports sustainable practices, helping both the environment and operational efficiency.

Aardra IoT Controller

Flexible Power Options for Sustainable Operation

The IoT Controller is designed with flexible power options to suit a wide range of applications.

When sustainability is a priority, it can be powered by solar energy, using MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) technology to maximise efficiency under varying sunlight conditions.

In cases where solar is not required—such as retrofitting into existing systems or when the controller needs to be kept indoors—a mains power adaptor provides a reliable alternative.

Built-in power-saving features ensure consistent performance while reducing energy consumption, supporting both operational reliability and sustainable practices.

Aardra IoT Controller

Flexible Zone Management, Built to Scale

The controller is built to manage multiple independent irrigation zones, with models available for 1, 4, 8, or 16 zones, and bespoke configurations to support even more if required. Each zone is operated by its own valve, giving precise control across different areas of an irrigation system.

For sustainability-focused projects, latching valves are recommended, as they consume minimal energy during operations. This makes them ideal for reducing power usage while ensuring reliable performance—supporting solar compatibility, battery longevity, and overall energy efficiency.

For existing installations or projects requiring 24 VAC, the system can be adapted with appropriate transformers and drivers, ensuring seamless integration with standard valves.

The IoT Controller also includes a dedicated driver to manage a pump, providing automation where no separate pump controller used. This ensures flexibility and reliability across a wide range of irrigation setups.

Flow Monitoring for Sustainability and Efficiency

Compatible with flow sensors ranging from ¼” to 4”, the IoT controller provides accurate insights into water consumption. This promotes accountability, supports sustainability targets, and enhances efficiency by ensuring water is used where and when it is needed.

By continuously monitoring flow rates, the system can detect leaks, dry runs, and pump or valve malfunctions. Automated alerts reduce the need for constant manual supervision, allowing human resources to be managed more effectively while ensuring irrigation processes remain reliable.

With early fault detection and optimised usage, the system helps maintain healthy plants, plantations, and landscapes while minimising waste.

Tank Level Monitoring

A dedicated input port for tank level sensors enhances operational efficiency, particularly for setups relying on intermediate water storage for pumps or rainwater harvesting.

This feature maintains adequate water levels for irrigation and provides alerts when levels fall below preset thresholds.

Such monitoring ensures seamless operation in scenarios disconnected from a mains water source.

Aardra IoT Controller

Wireless Connectivity with RF Modules

Equipped with an RF communication module, the system integrates seamlessly with moisture sensors and future wireless devices.

This eliminates the need for extensive wiring, enhancing reliability and reducing maintenance requirements.

Wireless connectivity allows multiple sensors to provide detailed analytics on soil moisture levels, enabling precise irrigation management across plantations or zones.

Future expansions, such as additional wireless sensors or controllers, can be effortlessly integrated.

Aardra IoT Controller

Custom Data Integration

The IoT platform includes a data port for integrating additional sensors, such as the Aardra IoT Air Quality Sensor.

This capability consolidates environmental data into a single system, reducing complexity while supporting green initiatives requiring air quality monitoring.

Such integrations enhance environmental compliance and provide valuable insights for local authorities.
